Player Description

Mike Cortez – Gained immense success in the amateur ranks, including a stint for the De La Salle Green Archers which won UAAP titles from 2000 to 2002. The "Cool Cat" may seem deliberate at playmaking but when healthy, is gifted with an array of explosive moves to the basket.

Jonas Villanueva – This former Far Eastern University Tamaraw definitely made his presence felt in his second year in the PBA. Villanueva is promising to say the least and could take over a game when his skills are in sync at any given night.

Dorian Pena – He made waves in the defunct Metropolitan Basketball Association before testing the waters in the PBA. The Maryland native brings a threatening presence at the shaded lane, making him one of the few dependable big men in the league.

Bonbon Custodio – A former University of the East Warrior, the so-called "Bonfire" can lit up the scoreboard and provide electrifying clips with his varied offensive moves. Custodio brings forth memories of high-flying Beermen like Samboy Lim and Bong Alvarez.

Dondon Hontiveros – Another product of the defunct MBA, Hontiveros is a defensive whiz and an explosive scorer rolled into one. He´s one of those few players who can hurt an opposing team with his incursions or his outside sniping.

Danny Ildefonso – Ildefonso is one of the guiding lights of the team, next to veteran Olsen Racela. He is one of the few remaining local players borne out of wisdom that tall players should play the post. Yet he also possesses a deft touch from the perimeter.

Wesley Gonzales – One of the few tall guards in the league at 6'4", Gonzales' asset makes him a logical defender under Tanquincen's system. The ex-Ateneo Blue Eagle also proved that he can shoot, too, when needed.

Marc Pingris – At 6'5" in a league that is getting bigger season after season, Pingris has grabbed his share of rebounds with his astounding leaping ability.

Olsen Racela – The senior citizen of the team remains to be the team's heart and soul. The former Ateneo Blue Eagle and national player is also a measure of stability and organization on the floor.

Lordy Tugade – The high-flying star of the National University Bulldogs now plies his trade at the three-point line although a shade of his skywalking days may be seen from time to time.

Samigue Eman – The University of Mindanao standout definitely has what it takes to dominate at the shaded lane with his God-given size at 6´9”. However, he needs to earn his spurs behind resident big men like Pena and Ildefonso.

Jay Washington – Washington is a pillar of strength for the Beermen. The former top draft pick has found his spot at the San Miguel lineup with his tenacious defense and rebounding with scoring a part of the package.

Froilan Baguion – The former National University guard may be pint-sized as most PBA guards are, but also possesses above-average passing skills and ability to hit it from three-point range.

Mick Pennisi – By his own words, Mick makes up for the lack of leaping ability and athleticism by doing the dirty work on the floor. A three-point shot is his ready weapon when he's open.

Kenneth Bono – Bono is one of the few rising forwards blessed with a dependable arsenal from the outside. This makes him one of the important fixtures in the team.

Chris Calaguio – This former Letran Knight remains a dependable defensive force off the bench with his innate ability to shackle the opposing team's scorer. He is also scorer with a deadly three-point shooting touch when the situation calls for it.
